I forgot to add this to my LENGTHY post yesterday… I made a template to cut out the Designer paper to fit around the clip on the clipboard:
Each clipboard is just slightly different depending upon where the clip got fastened to the board.. so it may not fit 100% right on each clipboard you cover, but if you just kind of "massage" it and "coax" it into place, it seems to look pretty good.
An alternative to cutting your paper to fit around the clip is to "paint" your clipboard in some manner.. on this one, I used the SPONGE DAUBER and the SO SAFFRON CRAFT PAD to color the top 1" or so of the clipboard and just brought the paper up to the bottom side of the clips:
I used some embellishments from the Borders & Blossoms Accents & Elements tin, River Rock ribbon and a jumbo eyelet set in the corner (yes, Julie.. YOU NEED a Crop A Dile) !! {grin}

Great! I have made 3 or 4 of these with painting, sponging, adhereingpaper, mod podge….but have a few more sitting around ( another hoarder I know!).
I will certianly give your great tips a try. Thanks for sharing.
So happy I fell upon your blog this morning! “}
It’s a misty moisty 60 degrees in Western MA this AM!!
These are just great! I haven’t bought any of these yet, but this confirms that they have to stay on my “must have” list.
You definitely have a better idea with your template than I did when I covered my clipboard! This is being stamplifted immediately! TFS

I LOVE this clipboard. I am browsing through your projects and your work is awesome!!!!
Pleeeeeez, I have been looking every place for the directions for the box card (looks like a present). Could you, would you, please share with me? I would be so appreciative. I’ve seen many samples, but no directions. Thank you so very much
Oh Patty – great tip and love the visuals you provided. I like when I can see how someone does something.
Thanks so much for sharing how you do this.

I have done it before with paint, but I like the look of the dsp. Thanks for the template.
