Johnny Jump Ups in my garden!

I am so excited…. I shopped for Johnny Jump Ups in the nursery this past summer, but was told they are seasonal and I should look for them this fall. (who knew? not me).  BUT… what a miracle… there are Johnny Jump Ups growing in my garden, and I didn’t even plant them!!  I just love them.. they remind me of my childhood.  They were my favorite flower as a little girl.

Grow little babies.. grow!!  Spread out.. fill my garden!

Oh, and an update on my quest for a Wisky Mac rosebush.. the nursery in northern CA is currently propagating one for me and I can pick it up next spring!!!  The cuttings from my mom’s bush never rooted.  (sad face).  After lots of on line research, the Vintage Gardens Nursery in Sebastopol www.vintagegardens.com was the only one in the U.S. I could find who sells the Wisky Mac! Good thing they are relatively closeby!

  1. Ok…how fair is that? I plant seeds, bulbs, plants etc and wait for them to ‘hopefully’ grow. You ‘wish’ for a plant, don’t actually plant it and voila!! THERE IT IS! You must have some mystical powers, girl!
Great news about the Wisky Mac rosebush.
