A few quick Thank You cards

Well.. the plumbing update is… it’s NOT covered by insurance and the plumber can’t come ’til tomorrow (so that’s the bad news out of the way)… but the GOOD news is that gave me a bit of time to stamp some Thank You cards for a friend today!  I had my Home Again Simply Scrappin’ Kit pack on my desk from my previous class, and decided to use up some of the patterned paper and accessories from the kit… voila.

P.S. for the tip on how to get the wide grosgrain through the card sideways, see my post here.

  1. Hi Patty! So sorry to hear about your plumbing problems! We’ve had that happen in our kitchen, but it wasn’t as big of a deal as what you are going through. One quick question about your cards…love them! One the one with the celery ribbon and brown wide grosgrain ribbon, did you cut into the side of the card to have the ribbon go on the inside,if so, with what?I’m trying to figure it out. Thanks!

  3. Only YOU would think to make “thank you” cards when you are going through the mess of the leak in your home. I guess some people are thankful, no matter what, and I applaude you for that. Sorry to hear thsat insurance won’t cover it…gotta wonder why we even have insurance, sometimes?

  4. Sorry to hear about the insurance not covering it. But luckily you found it when you did – could have been a real mess. Hopefully when they come they will be in and out (maybe they will see it wasn’t as bad as first anticipated). You never know. Glad you were able to get some stamping in. The cards are so nice. WHen you punch with the small square punch for the ribbon – do you punch both sides? or jut the fold?
    Thanks

  5. You’re quite the woman to think of making thank you cards for others while you’re stuggling through all of this !!! This is one of those times I wish I was stinking wealthy and could mail you off a cheque to cover off this expense. Do something extra nice for yourself today.
    Take care

  6. I love these cards. I think they would work for both a man or lady. I have a hard time coming up with cards for men. My husband will ask me for a Thank You card for a man and I don’t have anything appropriate. TFS
