2012 new Catalog Product Shares
On Tuesday I shared a cute idea with you for using the NATURAL COMPOSITION SPECIALTY DSP (PG 162) from Stampin' Up! and the adorable LITTLE LABELS PUNCH PACK. Today I have another tip to share with you for using this GORGEOUS paper!
WATERCOLOR ON IT!!
The gorgeous new Natural Composition Specialty DSP has glossy raised patterns on it.. almost like it was embossed in versamark and clear embossing powder!! So I decided to try watercoloring because the glossy raised portions will resist the ink.. anyway.. it turned out really neat!!!
I used my Aquapainter (pg 178) and the ink in the lids of my classic ink pads to do the watercoloring.
After I cut it into pieces, i added it to a couple cards featuring the new POSTAGE DUE stamp set (pg 108) (one of my very favorite items in the new catalog!)
I stamped the Postage Due image onto WATERCOLOR PAPER with Soft Suede (above) and Raspberry Ripple (below)… just for a neat texture.
For close up images of the Little Punch Pack embellishments on these cards, SEE THIS POST.

OMG!!! Patty, you never cease to amaze me!
Oh my! This is a GREAT idea! I love this paper by itself, but this really dresses it up. I love more options…….
WOAH! That is SO COOL!!!!
I think those little creative juices run 24/7 in that brain of your Patty. You think of more neat things to do!
This is adorable!

Well that’s a cool find Patty! Looks fantastic with your Postage Due collage!
What a GREAT idea! I absolutely love Postage Due, too!
Wow, Patty – what a great idea. Now I can hardly wait to get back home to try this myself. It will be a great technique to teach at my July 10 class.
Patty!!!!!! I LOVE this! I went right out into my craft area and using Cajun Craze and Island Indigo, I used the paper with the design that has four scallops (I can’t think what to call this!) and every other row is CC and every other row is II. I did find that if you use the ink pad for color it is much softer. I used the ink pad and then came back today to finish using reinker and had to do the others over but WOW! They are stunning. Thanks for the idea and blessing my day. 🙂
Love the look. How do you keep coming up with more good ideas! This technique puts another carrot in front of the rabbit to give aqua painter a try . . .
