I always know that whenever I meet Cindee for lunch she is going to show me some AMAZING stamped cards.. and recently she shared a great sponging technique with Post It Notes and I just knew I wanted to use this technique on some cards for my Stamp a Stack Class!
Here are the cards I came up with for my Stamp a Stack class… scroll down or click on my blog here to view the VIDEO TUTORIAL for this sponging technique with Post It Notes!
Here are the color combo swatches I mentioned in the video:

That’s so pretty! I did something like that before but punched a large circle out of paper to use as a mask. I only did a single color but will have to try more than one now! Thanks for the great video.
The color combo will depend on what I want the outcome to be. If I am just doing a background I could use a couple, if I am doing a scene I would use some green for the grass. Love the idea.
Love the combo you chose…pinks and oranges are so cheerful together! I agree with Nanci…the colour combo would largely be dictated, not only by personal preference, but also by the purpose of the card and the stamp set used. The green and blue combo on your test strip would work nicely with Lovely as a Tree, for example. Many thanks for generously sharing your techniques and videos. Love your blog!!
Thank you so much for the great video, and wonderful idea! I first thought the strips were adhered to the paper; but quickly learned they are not! I can’t wait to try this idea for myself! Congratulations on TWENTY YEARS as a demonstrator! Did you ever imagine your signing up would turn into this success??!! You are awesome!
Patty, you are scary organized. 🙂
your colour combos are well chosen, but I have to say my favourite would be in the pinks/oranges tones; a wonderful technique for club members; TFS!!
the color combos were really striking
