Thanks mounds for your kind comments on my Monochromatic Monday video last week featuring Stampin’ Up! Moody Mauve cards. I am glad our video chat about the color wheel was helpful! Today I’m sharing 2 more ideas for Monochromatic cards… one for yellow, one for red.
The yellow notecard features both Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight. As mentioned last week, monochromatic can be all 1 color + your neutral (Basic White here) or, 2 colors next to each other on the color wheel, + your neutral.
I used a Stampin’ Up! Note Card & envelope for this card idea, and there is a Lemon Lolly cardstock panel behind the Daffodil Delight strips.
Dimensions & Supplies:
Dimensions are noted above, and supplies are available in my online Stampin’ Up! store by clicking any of the product photos at the bottom of this post. THANK YOU for your online orders!
Above: I used the super cute scalloped circle from the new Round we Go dies, layered with a Stylish Shaped white circle die cut, and stamped with hello from Layering Leaves. It’s just the perfectly sweet accent for this card!
Above/Below: my Poppy Parade monochromatic card idea features just one color plus basic white for my neutral.
Card base is 4-1/4″ x 11″ folded in half, then cut off 1-1/4″ from the front panel and use a corner rounder on the corners. Put a 4″x5-1/4″ white panel inside with a 1″ strip of Poppy Parade designer paper for a fun accent that peeks out the front.
The STAR of the show is the friend die cut. I’ve shared this in the past but haven’t done it in awhile, so wanted to share again… after you stamp friend (from the Friends for Life bundle) with Poppy Parade on Basic white cardstock, place a piece of Foam Adhesive sheet on the BACK of the white cardstock and die cut with the coordinating die. YES it goes through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine just fine.
Isn’t it a WOW!!??

Both are wow cards. Possibilities are endless. Tfs
Great tip on the foam adhesive, Patty! I need to start doing this instead of layering several die cuts together to add dimension, The foam is so much easier!
I see beautiful cards!!!! I love them! The yellow and the red one, BRAVO!
This is a great idea…just a single color…fun and easy once in awhile is relaxing and fun. I like seeing it every Monday….thank you!
