Sponged Background Celebrate Card
Do you remember when I showed you this sponging technique on THIS VIDEO? Well, I sponged some extra cards and played with more designs than the ones in the video, and this is one that I came up with … what do you think? I love it!
This quick and easy Celebrate card features the Fabulous Four stamp set from Stampin' Up!. See it on page 13 of the catalog or view/purchase it here online.
I stamped the Celebrate with Memento Black ink over the sponged colored area, and simply added a 1-1/2" x 5" strip of Daffodil Striped DSP from the Sweet Taffy DSP package (pg 186, #133693), some Daffodil 1/4" Cotton Ribbon (pg 207, #134559) and some punched stars from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (pg 222, #133787)! DONE!
These bitty stars are a GREAT way to use up scraps of your designer paper! When you have a little strip of paper, simply punch out some shapes and put them right on to a roll of Glue Dots, and Voila, they are ready to use anytime!
Watch my VIDEO HERE to see how to sponge colors for the background.

I absolutely love the idea about putting the stars on the glue dots. I always punch out little shapes before I get rid of foil or glitter paper. Now I know where to put them. Love, love, love the idea.
Love the cheerfulness of this card, and your sponging.
