I know I am not alone in this…. I tend to hoard my favorite sheet out of each Stampin' Up! Designer Series paper package, and then, before I know it the season has passed and I never used it.. so.. I am trying to be better at USING up my paper!!
Case in point.. this beautiful copper embossed piece of Night of Navy designer paper from the Petals & Paisleys paper package!! The images are gorgeous shiny copper designs on the Night of Navy background!
In the photo above, you can see that I used a 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Copper Foil Sheet (#142020) and embossed it with the Festive Embossing Folder (#141471). I love how that piece turned out!! I die cut an oval Stitched Shape framelit (NEW!!! #145372) piece in Very Vanilla, stamped on it with the Give Thanks greeting from the Suite Seasons stamp set (#142206 / 142209) and then added a scalloped Night of Navy mat (from Layering Ovals #141706) and some copper die cut leaves from the Paisley framelit die collection (#141849).
There is one 12×12 sheet of this design in each package. I cut it into 6 pieces (4"x5-1/4") and made 6 cards with it.
I used Fast Fuse to adhere the printed paper to either a folded Night of Navy card, or, a Very Vanilla card.
THEN I set out to decorate each one differently!
You'll find this wonderful Petals & Paisleys paper on page 47 in the 2016 Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog, or HERE in my online store.
In the card above, I have again die cut shapes using the Stitched Shape framelits and added a piece of Very Vanilla 1/2" lace trim #141672 and a Night of Navy die cut shape from the Flourish Thinlit set (#141478).
Above: I love this .. I embossed a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of copper foil paper with the Holly embossing folder (#141634) and put it behind the strip of Very Vanilla with the stamped images. Isn't it a pretty accent on this card!?
The greeting and images are stamped in Night of Navy and are found in the Paisleys & Posies stamp set, pg 47, Holiday catalog.
I stamped a set of 6 of these Petals & Paisleys cards. You can see the other 3 here in the photo above. I think they all turned out so pretty!! I'm so glad my friend Cindee encouraged me to use up this paper!! Check out her set of Petals & Paisleys cards here on her blog.

Stunning cards Patty! I love the embossed Copper Foil and the Stitched Copper Foil. They are stunning! I’m sure the silver and gold would be too.
Such pretty cards. Thank you for sharing! I’m in love with copper this year, and it’s just spectacular with the dark blue.
These are beautiful! Love how they are a set but each different. I now have to go use that piece of paper that I’ve been hording.
This set of cards is gorgeous! Do you have a video on this or an instruction sheet? Would love to recreate these. ?
Good golly what a great group of card you made. Stop hoarding paper. I do the same and then it goes out of style–LOL.
Nope….not alone! I haven’t used either of the foil accented sheets in this package, although I’ve used almost everything else.
These are beautiful cards, Patty! And, I like that you used the DSP for an entire panel, not just a small piece which I tend to do with my favorite papers, to make them last! LOL. Using it as a panel really gives your cards a dramatic effect.
They’re gorgeous!
