Oh So Succulent Note Cards with Sale a Bration Glimmer Paper

The gorgeous new {{FREE!}} Sale-a-Bration Glimmer paper has convinced me that I am now a fan of Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macaron – 2 of the current Stampin' UP! In Colors for 2016-2018!

These are also 2 of the colors featured in the Succulent Garden designer paper, so I thought this would be a good combo for some Customer Thank You cards!

Study the photo above you'll see how each card turns out a little bit differently depending on which Succulent Garden paper pattern you use, which Glimmer paper color you use and which scalloped circle color you use!  I stamped the Oh So Succulent flower images (pg 21 of the 2017 Occasions catalog) onto whisper white circles that were die cut with the Stitched Shape framelits, and layered them onto die cut circles and scalloped circles from the Layering Circle framelits.  I only used Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macaron ink on these cards.

Getting ready to create a stack of thank you cards!

These 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" top fold white cards are cut and scored with the Thick Whisper White cardstock from Stampin' UP!. Have you tried out the Thick Whisper White yet?  It's perfect for a sturdy card base!

Not sure if you have found this to be true, but the 2-step stamp images are easiest to stamp when you stamp the outline image first, in my opinion.

Since I had so many cards to create, I maximized my paper by cutting only 1/2" wide glimmer paper strips and 2" wide strips of designer paper.  You can make them wider if you are not making quite so many cards.

  2. Wow Patty – those cards turned out beautiful!! I love your tip about the DSP – what a great way to stretch your “favorite” prints in each pack. You’ll get a ton more cards by using only a 2″ strip, and the 1/2″ glimmer paper strip adds just the right amount of sparkle. Looks like a lot of lucky customers will find that beauty in their mailbox soon 🙂

  3. Beautiful cards, Patty. Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macaron are two of my favorites….love them both! And that glimmer paper is just gorgeous! Going to make a card with some of it today and use it for the multiple dragonfly die. Can’t wait to see how it turns out! Thanks for sharing.

  4. Can you give the dimensions of the circles you used? I tried to make this card but couldn’t match up the circle and stitched circles for the middle. They weren’t close enough in size. Love the card!
