Now that you have mostly likely ordered the very popular Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest Bundle (or stamp set), I thought you might enjoy this idea to stretch your "sunflower" stamp image and learn how to create a poinsettia flower with it to create a holiday or Christmas card!
I used Stampin' Up! Watercolor paper and a Stampin' Spritzer filled with water to create this beautiful holiday card idea, turning the sunflower into a poinsettia!
It's really quite easy, simply use the Cherry Cobbler and Rose Red ink pads (per above) and stamp them onto Watercolor paper with the Painted Harvest Sunflower image and then spritz with water and the Stampin' Spritzer until you have achieved the look you want!
Then stamp the center when the flower is dry. I used Daffodil Delight ink.
Tip!
For a fun layered greeting on any card, layer the Stitched Shape framelits and the layering ovals, circles or squares!
If you have not used the Stitched Shape framelits and Layering Ovals, watch my free video tutorial HERE.
I stamped the Season of Cheer greeting (from the Watercolor Christmas stamp set) onto Very Vanilla Cardstock, then die cut it with the Stitched Shape Oval, and used Cherry Cobbler cardstock and the Layering Ovals framelits to make the scalloped border. A few Gold Metallic shapes werethe perfect little touch to finish the card.
This card was created on a Cherry Cobbler folded card base, and the beautiful diagonal striped Old Olive printed paper is found in the Merry Little Christmas package of paper, pg 12, in the 2017 Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog. The Gold edge ribbon is on page 199 in the annual catalog. See below for links to all Stampin' Up! products in my online store.
Thank you for joining me today! Hope you enjoyed this holiday card idea!

What a great tip Patty! The multi-petal flower really lends itself well to becoming a poinsettia, and with the gorgeous watercolor look, your cards are stunning. I haven’t started thinking about my holiday card design yet … this idea seems pretty quick and easy but still a wow, perfect for mass production!
Great poinsettia, I was starting to think about that and hoping it would work. TFS
This is a beautiful card. I’ll try my hand at this one. I’ve been afraid to try the Painted Harvest stamp set I ordered. Thanks for the inspiraion.
