So Santa Christmas Card Ideas with Stampin’ Blends

As I was coloring these cute So Santa images with my Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers, I was thinking about how I would add them to a card or project, and I thought about this Delightfully Detailed laser paper … I layered it onto Lovely Lipstick and Real Red cardstock and I kind of thought it looked like poinsettias in the background.. what do you think?

Crafting Tip!

When using the Sweetly Stitched heart and tree framelit dies, line up the framelit that does the stitching impression with the one that does the outline cut and adhere them together with one of these Post-it note flags shown below.  That way they will keep the right spacing and you’ll have a perfect die cut/stitched image each time!

The Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Paper was fun to use on this project.  I think it looks like poinsettias when you overlay it on red cardstock.  🙂

The So Santa images were stamped in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers.  They are die cut with the Stitched Shape framelit dies and I matted them onto Coastal Cabana and Pineapple Punch scalloped circle die cuts.

You will find the fun stitched hearts in the Sweetly Stitched framelit die pack, pg 25 of the 2018 Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog.  I die cut them with Lovely Lipstick cardstock using the tip noted above in this post.

The final touch was some Granny Apple Green 1/2″ ribbon on the card above, and some Pool Party & Silver Baker’s Twine on the other card in this post.  I also added some Red Rhinestones for a touch of glitz. 🙂

  1. I received one of these adorable cards as a thank you, and yes, it does look like poinsettias in the background. Thanks for all your inspiring ideas and videos. I always check your website each morning to see what you’ve been up to. I hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas.

  2. Love the laser cut paper over the red cardstock and the design does look like a poinsettia. I cannot color as well as you do (cause I am old, I guess) so I would add something I would not have to color.
