Stampin’ a rainbow of butterflies today!! I had an idea to stamp the Butterfly Gala stamp set with Stampin’ UP! Spectrum rainbow pads and I LOVE how they turned out! I have a FREE VIDEO TUTORIAL for you at the bottom of this post, as well as links to shop for all of these note card supplies in my online Stampin’ UP! store!
My card today was inspired by Cindee Wilkinson (see her card in the video below). This note card features a piece of the Floral Romance vellum, and 2 butterflies inked with different Rainbow Pads and punched out with the Butterfly Duet punch! Find the Butterfly Gala bundle (at 10% off!) on pg 35 in your 2019 Occasions catalog or HERE online.
The Butterfly Gala Bundle is only $35!! I think it’s an amazing value for the stamp set and punch! #150599
The Spectrum Pad (#147048) comes uninked and you use your choice of Stampin’ Up! Reinkers to add color. See the video below in this post to see how that’s done if you haven’t already made one. I’ve included several options for you below to get your creative color combo ideas going!
Above & Below: these are the 2 Spectrum Rainbow pads I created and used on my card today.
For info on how I labeled the front of the pads and how I decided on my color combos, watch the video below.
Below: this is the red/orange/yellow Spectrum pad I inked to create the “monarch butterfly” in the video below. That card will be on my blog this weekend.
I really like the card with the 2 different colors of butterflies, as shown below, but it works equally well with just about any color butterflies!! This is so pretty!
Did you notice the sweet Frosted Flowers with the “Share What You Love” pearls in the center?? 🙂

Hi Patty, love all your sharing it really helps. I have a question about the stamp pads do they fit in the stampin up stamp pad holder? that is what I use to store my ink pads and would like to use those but want to store with other ink pads. thanks so much Sharon
I am not sure since I don’t have that holder, but I will check around and see if someone can test that for me.
Hi Sharon, I got confirmation that yes, they fit in the old SU holder.. they stick out a little since they are longer, but they fit!
You are such a good teacher! Thank you.
You are so kind Kathy.. thank you!
Without a doubt #1. Love me some Regals and purples. Thanks for the free offer. Hope your son is ok
All your samples are terrific but I keep going back to #1 colors so that is my favorite. Thanks for all you share on your wonderful blog!!!
I have to go w/#1. I love the different color combinations used for the butterflies on this card using the spectrum ink pads and how they coordinated so well w/the vellum Floral Romance DSP. The little Frosted Flowers w/little Share What you Love pearls in the center just finished off the card. Your video on how to make the butterflies was very helpful. Thanks for sharing.
