Be Still My Heart.. I LOVE to color with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers, and the Lovely Lattice stamp is the perfect image for that!
I love flowers (you already know that), and I love to color (you probably know that), so this was the perfect match for me. The Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-Bration 2019 gift choice: Lovely Lattice stamp set can be yours with your $50 online order!!
Craft Tips!
When coloring with so many colors of Stampin’ blends markers on one project, I found it helpful to swatch all the colors around the edge of my cardstock, then keep the markers in that order, so that I could easily grab the right color.
Be sure to use your Memento Black ink pad and Whisper White cardstock when coloring with Stampin’ Blends for best results. My preference is the Thick Whisper White cardstock.
I like to layer several colors of markers onto one image, so I like to see how all of the colors relate to each other. Swatching them first, really helped.
You can see all of the Stampin’ Blends colors I used in the Product Photo section at the bottom of my blog post. You can click any image to go right to my online store, or, click here to see all of the Stampin’ Blends markers.
For the Daffodil Delight card above, I embossed a 4″x5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White with the Layered Leaves embossing folder, layered that onto a top fold Thick Whisper White card, and then added a 1-1/2″ x 4″ piece of Daffodil Delight Gingham Gala paper and the Sale-a-Bration Daffodil Delight ribbon around the card. After I fussy cut the Lovely Lattice image, I used a bunch of Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the flower image to add it to the card. I tucked some Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist die cut leaves under the edge of the raised floral image.
I decided to fussy cut one Lovely Lattice stamped image with my Paper Snips, and leave the other one as a rectangle image to add to my cards.
I wanted to play up the Daffodil Delight, so I mounted the fussy cut Lovely Lattice image above onto some Gingham Gala Daffodil Delight paper, and then for the image below, I realized it looked a LOT like the Petal Promenade designer paper, so I layered that image onto that DSP!
I finished off the card below with some Petal Pink Variegated ribbon. I think it just completes the beautiful soft look!! My niece is getting married in a couple months and I think this might be the perfect card for their wedding!
