Pressed Petal floral card idea

I Love Love Love this Pressed Petals floral card we made at Kurstan’s Bingo event last weekend!! It’s sooo pretty!!  The Pressed Petals paper can be found on page 74 or page 167 in the new Annual Catalog or HERE online.

This fun card layout is like the Bird Ballad cards I posted HERE.  We used the Floral Essence stamp set and matching Perennial Flower punch for the focal point.  After stamping the flower image we used the Blender Pen to pull some of the color toward the tip of each petal.  See graphic below.

The tip to making this card so easy is to use the 2 punches shown above:  the Perennial Flower punch and the Leaf Punch.  Kurstan was so clever, she used the green music note paper pattern in the Pressed Petals designer paper pack for the leaves!!!!  What a great idea!

Use the Blender Pen to pull ink from the stamped image from the flower center toward the tips of each petal.

I LOVE this design tip:  Use a strip of the Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon as an accent on the card, and cover 1/2 of it with the Hello greeting sentiment stamped on Whisper White!

  1. Good morning Patty,
I love, love, love your card….Very pretty…..It was very clever how Kurstan used the leaf punch to cut petals from the DSP…..I would have never thought of that….I love how you ladies give us such great tips…. Now to remember them all.lol….This card is a great way to use up your DSP just like the cards from the Botanical Butterfly…. I’m making more cards with that fold because I love seeing both sides of the DSP… I think it’s my favorite fold…Thanks for sharing and have a great day.
