I used Stampin’ Up! Embossing Paste, palette knives, silicone sheet and the Pattern Party Mask to apply the white embossing paste image to my Night of Navy card.  After it was dry, I used my Stampin’ Blends markers to add color!  Pretty fun technique, right?!?  If your embossing paste is rough, it might put a little extra wear and tear on your marker tips.  I tried to keep my embossing paste pretty smooth to avoid that.

To finish this super simple card, I just tied the Denim Ribbon around the card.. that’s it!

  1. So fun! I have the stencils so why not give this cool card a whirl? Oh well, my embossing paste is hard I just found out even though I used plastic wrap etc. I will see if the center is still usable. Otherwise, I will have to add a jar to my next order. I love this idea and I will try it. Maybe even trying a different color for the base. I will let you know how it turns out! Thanks for a fun idea.

  2. I would suggest putting the stencil back over the card before you color. That way the marker slips wouldn’t get onto the background paper. Just an idea.
