I started out by using my sponge daubers and Poppy Parade ink to color the flowers, going in a circular motion from the center of each flower to the tips of the petals, letting the ink lighten as I went. I used a sponge dauber to add Pear Pizzazz ink to the leaves, and my Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends marker to add color to the tiny leaves. I used Poppy Parade and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends to deepen the color in the flower center. All Stampin’ UP! supplies available by clicking the product photos at the bottom of this post.
THEN I decided to add more colors! I played with lots of Patty Colors (Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody, Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight and Rococo Rose) to add shading and endless color combos to the flowers. I could not stop!!
After I had a sheet of the Rose Gold foil flowers all colored, I cut them out with my paper snips and started adding them to cards. I tried out the Kerchief Card Kit cards (below) as a base but you could use any cardstock or patterned paper for the background.
There are 4 patterns of beautiful foil accent paper designs in this Flowering Foils pack. 1) The large flowers that I colored, 2) the silver “daisy”-like pattern behind the flowers above, 3) the copper cross-hatch pattern behind the flowers below, and 4) a smaller flower pattern that I’ll share in a couple days.

Murphy’s Law…. I spent hours last weekend making this box of Flowering Foils floral cards using the Kerchief Card Kit cards from Sale-a-Bration, only to find out that evening that these Kerchief Card Kits have sold out! Ugh!! I was really excited about how pretty these turned out and how you can use the Kerchief card kits with other products. Oh well. I hope you already got a pack of them so that you can try out these cards!
I loved sponging all the “Patty Colors” onto these flowers. They are so quick and easy, and I think, SOOO pretty!!!
