Have you checked out the new North Poll Dies from Stampin’ UP!? They are on page 32 in the catalog or #153523 here in my online store! I used the tag and the large “scalloped” circle die to create my Sunflower Punch Art Card for you today!
Who would have thought these “Christmas” dies would be so versatile!! I’ll admit though, the moment I saw them, I knew I wanted them just for this amazing tag!! I love it! For this card, I embossed that tag with the Greenery embossing folder before adding the punch art sunflower.
How to Make the Punch Art Sunflower:
- Use the large “scalloped” die from the North Pole Dies (or any large scallop die), and die cut with your choice: Daffodil Delight, Bumblebee or Crushed Curry cardstock
- Sponge the edges of the die cut with your choice of coordinating ink. I used Daffodil Cardstock and Bumblebee ink
- Use your paper Snips, and cut little slits (shown above) to create petals
- Create a center with a circle or scalloped circle, die cut or punched with Early Espresso Cardstock
- Stamp the center with a “texture” stamp. I used the Textured Essentials set. Sponge edge with Early Espresso ink.
- Ruffle or “fluff” the tips of the petals for a more realistic look
- Assemble flower and center together with Stampin’ Dimensionals
Flower centers above, die cut from the Layering Circles dies and Stitched Shape dies, stamped with the Textured Essentials stamp.
