I am very excited to be a part of the Luv 2 Stamp Group blog hop today! 11 of us from my Luv 2 Stamp Group team shared cards and other projects via Facebook LIve videos with our team on May 1st as part of our all day marathon New Catalog Kickoff day!! I shared these 4 Hand-Penned card ideas, all featuring the same design but all with different Hand-Penned designer paper and tips for stamping these cards. Please be sure to visit all the blogs in this hop by clicking the links in my post below, when you are done enjoying my cards!
4 Cards / 1 Basic Design
The 4 Hand-Penned card ideas I shared with my team all feature the same easy to make card design, but each one is stepped up a little from the previous one.
Design 1 – Hand-Penned Simple Birthday Card:
Tips: Keep it Simple… just 2 layers of designer paper and a greeting on a top fold Thick Basic White base. Also.. can you tell, I used my Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen and Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends to enhance the color on the designer paper. This is optional but really gives the colors a POP! The tiny polkadot black and white background matte piece is from the new Pattern Party designer paper hostess pack! The greeting is found in the Best Year stamp set #152568.
Dimensions for Designer Paper and Cardstock Matte layer:
Design 2 – Hand-Penned Simple Thank You Card:
Tips: Step up a simple card design (above) with Pale Papaya Ribbon and a greeting stamped on a die cut from the Scalloped Contours dies. Finishing touch: some Papaya Genial Gems! Card Base: 4-1/4×11 top fold Pale Papaya cardstock. Matte layer: Soft Succulent cardstock.
Design 3 – Hand-Penned Fresh Freesia with Stampin’ Blends:
Tips: Mix and Match 3 patterns from the Hand-Penned designer paper pack to step up this card! Use the new Highland Heather ribbon to accent the coloring on the stamped flower image: Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends markers used to color the flower. 2021-2023 In Color Gems in Fresh Freesia accent the Fresh Freesia Top Fold Card Base.
One final tip, use Wink of Stella to accent the colored flowers!
Design 4 – Hand Penned card featuring Scalloped Contours dies
Tips: Stamp and die cut the Hand-Penned floral image 2x, color with Stampin’ Blends markers to match your choice of designer paper. Add Soft Succulent ribbon, a die cut tag for thanks (from the Tasteful Labels dies), and a scalloped die behind the Misty Moonlight cardstock matte, AND another one inside the card!
I hope you enjoyed these 4 Hand-Penned card ideas, each one a little bit fancier than the previous one!
