I hope you enjoy these card ideas featuring this new bundle.
This was the first card I made with the Warm Welcome bundle. In hindsight, I it might have been easier to stamp and die cut the door and place it over the background, but I was experimenting and didn’t realize that was the easier way to do it. So it’s stamped right onto the Basic White cardstock front panel, and colored with Stampin’ Blends markers. I drew the brick (or stone?) wall with Stampin’ Blends and a black Stampin’ Write marker, then added shading with Blending Brushes.
All supplies are listed at the bottom of this post, and you can purchase them by clicking any product photo. I used the Potted Geranium bundle and Cheerful Basket bundle on this card as well.
ABOVE: I used a pattern from the Black and White designer paper pack that reminded me of a brick walkway, and my Cajun Craze ink with a Blending brush to color it. It’s trimmed around the door and glued to the background.
Below: Gray Granite and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends are good for coloring the door.. I tried to make it look like a metal screen door. Not sure I succeeded.
Above & Below: my 2nd card features the stamped, colored and die cut door placed OVER the background. The background layer is Cajun Craze cardstock embossed with the Stampin’ UP! Brick & Mortar embossing folder. I added some Cajun Craze ink with my Sponge Dauber to the bricks. The piece of floral paper inside the doorway is from the Lovely in Linen pack.
Below: For my 3rd and final card I tried to make it look like the inside of a house, looking out. To achieve that, I used Lovely in Linen paper made to look like wallpaper and carpet. The door is stamped on Cajun Craze cardstock, lightly shaded with Stampin’ Blends markers, and I used a small piece of Hues of Happiness paper in the door opening that looked like grass and sky, then stamped images from the Window Wishes bundle – I also used that bundle for the door wreath. How cute is that wreath!!??
The dies in the Warm Welcome bundle allow you to die cut the door in 2 ways.. see below, or check out my video for more details!
