I love love love this tree paper from the Boughs of Holly paper pack, and wanted to create a non-Christmas Card with it. Using the Happy Birthday Greeting from Biggest Wish made this a wintery birthday card!! The strip with the birthday greeting is the back side of the tree paper!
For a little bit of interest, I die cut some sprigs and leaves with the rather busy pattern shown above. I like how it gives the pieces variation in color. The dies are from the Christmas Banners die set.
Special Card Details:
2 more details to make this card special: a strip of Evening Evergreen glimmer paper below the green strip and a wooden Textural element, custom colored with Stampin’ Blends!
And of course I can’t let you go without a tip… don’t forget to custom color your thread or twine to coordinate with your project! 🙂 I like Stampin’ Blends markers for this since the alcohol ink dries quickly and doesn’t tend to rub off later.
