Check out this very fun idea I had when making a slimline birthday card for our buddy Andrew!! After I wrapped his gift, I thought… those doggies would be so cute on a card.. so I grabbed my Stampin’ UP! paper snips and fussy cut 4 doggies to use on his card and the envelope!!
FUN TIP!
Check out how I made the stamped grass…. see below… I grabbed 2 of the images that create a carrot from the Thanks a Bunch set, and stamped them multiple times in 3 different green ink pads to create grass!!!

Oh so very clever.,, and cute! When not picking carrots, plant grass!!! Love it. Now I need that set.
So glad you enjoyed it!!
Very cute idea. Thanks for sharing. It’s amazing how many ideas we can come help with from cutting out images from cardstock, wrapping paper and stationary on our cards.
Thanks!! Glad you liked it!
Oh my gosh.. how cute is that!! I love your idea and I absolutely love the “grass” that you made. I keep looking past the carrot set, but now I will have get them. I love watching your videos, you have great content. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me.
Glad you enjoyed it!! Watch for my Easter Bunny card on my blog soon (the one I showed in my video a few weeks ago) with the grass from this set.. too cute!!
What a great card! I had to giggle to myself when I saw your card because when my son was young and would go to birthday parties, I refused to spend several dollars on a card because I knew it would be a waste of money. So I would write “Happy Birthday” on a folded piece of construction paper and glue images from the wrapping paper on the “card.” And then I started stamping when his art teacher became a demonstrator and invited me to a class at her home. That was almost 20 years ago. Thanks for sharing your creative card and bringing back sweet memories.
How fun!! thank you for sharing your story!! It made me smile!
Hi Patty. I love your card with the dog wrapping paper! Such a great idea and card! I’m hoping I can find that dog wrapping paper at Target.
I found different dog wrapping paper at Target. It’s cute too. Where did you purchase your dog wrapping paper? Thanks.
It was from a school fundraiser a few years ago.
Thank you!
