These 1″ strip cards are a great way to use up extra DSP strips, and to experiment with combining different patterns and colors! I hope you enjoy my Lily Pond Lane cards today!
The Masterfully Made 1″ strip card idea was one of my most popular cards last year, if you missed it: click to view.
After cutting and gluing the 1″ strips in the pattern shown above onto the white panel, I embossed each panel. Most of them are embossed with the Cute Crochet embossing folder (shown above) but I also used a few others (pictures at the bottom of the post). It gives this card a fun quilted feel!!
Glue the embossed white panel to the colored panel (Peach Pie shown here) then onto the Thick Basic White card base.
I used 1″ strips from the Lily Pond Lane designer paper pack #163342

I loved the discovery that the rectangle shown here from the Everyday Details dies fits perfectly in this open space! I searched my stamp sets for greetings that would fit! Some are vertical, some horizontal.
Above/Below: additional embossing folders I used: Eyelet 3D, and Distressed Tile 3D. They all create amazing patterns, texture and interest!

Great idea to emboss after adding the strips of DSP. I’ve done this in the past but I love your reminder to try it again…and I will!! The embossing folders give the cards such a special look & texture. Thanks for sharing!!!
