The minute I saw these Loveliest Layers masks in the new Stampin’ Up! mini catalog, I knew I’d love them with bright colors, and I was right!! How pretty are these cards!!??
I love them!!
Stamparatus TIP!
I used my Stamparatus to tuck the cardstock piece and the mask into the corner so that all 4 masks would line up without using any tape or magnets!! It worked perfectly! See the step by step photos above.
If you are reading this by Feb. 28, 2023, you can get these Loveliest Layers Masks as your FREE Sale-a-Bration item with a $50 online order!! Otherwise, they are available here in my online Stampin’ UP! store.
Above and below: This was the first color combo I tried…. you know, I had to use “Patty Colors”.. Sweet Sorbet, Mango Melody, Parakeet Party and Granny Apple Green!! Don’t they look amazing!?
The card above is layered with a deckled rectangle onto a Parakeet Party card base.
Below: Same colors as above, but layered onto Parakeet Party glimmer paper!!! then onto a Thick basic white card base. Gorgeous!
Above/Below: Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Parakeet Party and Granny Apple Green ink applied with Blending Brushes… amazing! Gorgeous!!
More Patty Colors above & below: Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral, Parakeet Party & Granny Apple Green ink pads!! The card above was created on one of the pieces of Fancy Flora designer paper.. I wanted to see how it looked on something other than white… what do you think? Do you like the soft look?
These were super fun to make, I hope you have fun making cards with your Loveliest Layers masks!!

Patty, I just ordered this set of masks. Love the colors you used and your tips on making these beautiful cards. Thanks so much. Enjoy your day!
I like how the stencil looked on the DSP. Softer but still pretty.
So beautiful, Patty! You are so talented!!!
Would you ever consider creating a tutorial (or a series of tutorials) to help your many fans how to choose stunning colors for their cards? I’ve tried to learn color theory in the past, but came away more confused than educated.
Many thanks, Katy O’Fleming
I think Color choices are all in the eye of the beholder… I gravitate toward all the bright colors. Hopefully my 421 color combo suggestions here will help: https://www.pinterest.com/pattystamps/crafty-color-combos/
I really enjoy all you share and even after 27 years of being a SU demonstrator I still learn so much from you. Another demonstrator and I are hosting a quarterly Card Buffet class next week and I am going to do this technique.
Thank you so much!

This card was one that I did at my Card Buffet on Saturday and the ladies really loved it! Unfortunately it will probably be discontinued in the next catalog! Bummer! Oh well, maybe they will have something similar.
