Quilt Cards with Inked & Tiled Punch pack

If there was one thing I could add to my plate… something I could make time (and had space for) it would be learning to quilt.  My mom, my grandma and great grandma all quilted, and I am blessed to have quilts from all of them!  I love the combinations of the fabrics, the feel, the texture.. everything about them.   For now though, I’ll stick to creating “quilt cards” with my Stampin’ Up! papercrafting supplies 🙂

Step 1: I punched several pieces of Delightful Floral DSP with both punches, and started to arrange them on 1/4 sheets of white cardstock, just to see how they “tiled” together.

Step 2: I added liquid glue and glued my punched pieces down.  Then I trimmed them as shown below.

Step 3: I selected 2 embossing folder to use on my 2 pieces.  The Countryside Blossoms embossing folder and the Basics 3D embossing folder – both from Stampin’ Up!

Final step was to mount the embossed piece onto a colored piece of cardstock (I selected Fresh Freesia and Petal Pink for my 2 cards).  I only added a sentiment (from Go To Greetings) on the card below and left the other one without a sentiment on the front.
