I think I remember teasing you with this idea a week or 2 ago on my business page… can you believe how absolutely AMAZING the Stampin’ Up! Soft Shimmer paper looks when you emboss it with the Layered Florals 3D embossing folder?!! Wow!!!
I created a small batch of customer thank you cards using Berry Burst, Bubble Bath and some birds from the Flight & Airy Sale-a-Bration DSP!! To save time I used the Decorative Circle Punch on the Flight & Airy paper and the 2-3/8″ circle punch for the Shimmer Paper circles.
Thinking of You is stamped in Berry Burst ink on a Scalloped Contour die cut. ALL Stampin’ Up! cardmaking supplies used in these cards are available in my online store by clicking the product images at the bottom of this post. Thank You for your orders!!!

What a great idea! I never thought of embossing shimmer paper, out of fear that it would “crack”. The folder and cards are beautiful.
So happy you liked it!! I was really pleased with the outcome. Just be sure you use the specialty plate for 3D embossing folders.
Gorgeous! Thank you for the idea. You are so creative!
Thank you so much!!
Gorgeous cards. That DSP! Thanks for the example.
Thank you, so glad you liked it!!
Beautiful cards. Love the colors and shimmer. I’m recovering from shoulder surgery, and can’t wait to be able to start crafting again. Did you dampen the shimmer paper to get good embossing or leave it dry?
THank you, so glad you liked it. No, i did not dampen it.. I don’t think this coated paper would absorb any water.
