If you joined me yesterday for my weekly crafting video, thank you!! If you missed it, I’ve got the replay below in this post. Yesterday I shared tips and techniques for how to color with watercolor pencils & the Sunflower folder from Stampin’ Up!
I didn’t even use water.. just shading with my watercolor pencils on the embossed images, and then a little blending with a Blender Pen! You can do this!

If you are looking for the pencil sharpener I shared in the video, the Prismacolor pencil sharpener is the one I use. It’s in my Craft Room Essentials Amazon store. I do earn a small commission at no additional cost to you if you purchase it in my store.

Each card features a piece of Two Tone Cardstock (I used Petal Pink and Crumb Cake for the projects I shared on the video and in this post). Be sure to watch the video to see all the tips about inking the embossed images with the Stampin’ Spots… I especially love the Early Espresso spot for adding ink to these embossed pieces.

As I mentioned in the video, adding some paper like the Woven Textures paper and the Need for Tweed, are the perfect touch for these cards!

They are absolutely gorgeous!
How do you get your small white mates that you are coloring on
Okay, once again, a fantastic video. I just love this. I didn’t know about watercolouring pencils – especially without water. So cool. Guess I will be ordering them right now. Plus, I want to send my brother some papers to play with. Since he’s an artist, I am glad I don’t have to supply them. What I am most pleased about with the pencils is that I will no longer be ruining my blends. Fantastic. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
Thanks for a wonderful video chat and a fun simple way to give the sunflower EF a very special look!
