Embossed Vellum: so elegant!
Last month I challenged myself to create 12 cards with embossed vellum. I pulled out 10 embossing folders, cut my vellum to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and embossed 12 pieces.
My card today features the Glass & Gardens embossing folder and THANKS ephemera die cut to create a thank you card. It is a simple elegant embossed vellum card you can make quickly with any color scheme.
I used Petal Pink cardstock behind the embossed vellum, and colored the flowers on the BACK of the vellum with my Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend marker. I finished off my simple embossed vellum card with a Charming Day floral die cut that was sitting on my desk waiting to be used on a card, and some Charming Shimmer Faceted dots.
Lastly, the striped Early Espresso paper is from the Weekend Adventures designer paper pack… but any dark pattern will give the same amazing contrasting effect.

Find the thanks die cut image in the Saying Something Mix & Match ephemera pack. It is white in the pack but I colored it with my Stampin’ Blend marker to match the card.
At the time I’m typing this… the Glass & Gardens embossing folder is still in stock. It’s on the retiring list and it’s on sale… grab it while it’s still available!

Pretty card! Embossed vellum adds such an elegant touch and I love the colors you used.
Thank you!!
Love your card and the embossed vellum but I continue to have cuts in the vellum. I’ve tried many of the suggestions to prevent the breaking/tears but to nothing has worked. What is your suggestion?
I have not experienced that.. I’m sorry you are… and sound like you’ve tried all the suggestions. It just sounds to me like too much pressure in your machine/sandwich layers. I’m sorry it’s happening to you.
