Big Shot Class Samples – by Patty Bennett

I taught 2 sessions of the Big Shot class this week.. everyone really enjoyed seeing the Big Shot in action and loved getting to use it!

Here are the 4 projects we made:

Using the Stampin' Up! Exclusive Tulipe Die, we used the "negative" part of this die (we did not use the little pieces.. we cut the die with black cardstock and used that piece) - inspired by Fran Sabad. The card is embellished with a hatpin and beads/pearls from the Pretties Kit, and tied with Basic Gray Taffeta ribbon.

The next project involved 2 dies: the Scallop Circle and the Envelope Bigz Die. We used Bella Rose paper, Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip and Red Riding Hood Cardstock.

Env card

I put the envelope on backwards on purpose.. it is like a little pouch.. then we inserted a 3×3 card inside:

Next, they had the choice of a 2-page 6×6 scrapbook spread or a 3×6 card, using the Leaves #2 Die and my new favorite DSP:  Juntos, in the Celebrando Creatividad (spanish version) SU! catalog (for another project with that paper click HERE):

I was inspired by Kimberly's project HERE.

here is the 3×6 card version if they didn't want to make scrapbook pages:

The 4th and final project used the Top Notes Bigz die, and a faux watercolor technique:

Upsy daisy card

see THIS POST for info on how to do the 2 tone faux watercolor image.

The paper used was Washington Apple and Riding Hood Red c/s.  Also used: Upsy Daisy set and Tangarine Tango striped ribbon.

Tune in tomorrow for more Big Shot projects I've been working on! 🙂

  1. Wow, Patty, what an awesome class! Love each and every project!
I gotta say, that scalloped envelope is really growing on me. (At first, I was disappointed it wasn’t large enough to accomodate a regular-size card.) I really like how you folded the envelope back like that, it looks really cute!
The card vs. page option is very clever, too!
    TFS!
