If you haven't selected the Springtime Foils paper as one of your Sale-a-Bration gifts for 2018 yet, I'd highly recommend that you select that on your next order!! It's SO gorgeous!!! See the Springtime Foils paper here. Get is as your free gift with a $50 order in my online Stampin' UP! store!
I was stamping with my friend Cindee last week and we were making a ton of cards, and she came across this idea on Facebook, shared by demonstrator Kylie Bertucci in Australia… we knew we immediately had to make this card!!!!
It features 2 of the patterns in the Springtime Foils paper pack. We put the 4"x5-1/4" piece of rose gold foil polkadot paper onto a folded Powder Pink card, then cut out 2 flowers and leaves from the floral pattern in the Springtime Foils pack with our Paper Snips to layer on top of a scalloped Powder Pink circle. So simple, so sweet, so stunning!
We messaged this photo to Kylie to show her we loved her card!
If you missed my video featuring this gorgeous Springtime Foil
paper, please watch it on my YouTube channel here.
The rose gold polkadots certainly look perfect with the Powder Pink cardstock!
We finished off the card by coloring one flower with our Pink Pirouette Stampin' Blends markers, and adding some copper trimmed ribbon from the January Paper Pumpkin kit!! (get refills here).
The You Are Loved sentiment is found in the Blossoming Basket bundle (another free Sale-a-Bration gift), stamped on Powder Pink cardstock and die cut with the Petals & More thinlit dies.
A Subtles pink enamel shape heart and a piece of doily finish off this card.

Oh my gosh, this card is so elegant. Love the powder pink with the Spring time Foils. The last 2 cards you have knocked them out of the ball park. Can’t wait to see what’s up next!!!
Hi Patty. I’ve been following your blog for quite some time. I certainly admire the coloring you do with the blends. I have been a copic person for a long time but now I also like the blends. This is a long introduction to my question… I am having much difficulty coloring with the blends on the new springtime foils paper. I can’t seem to get a smooth blend. It always looks streaky. Do you have any tips on how to fix/avoid the streamlines?
Hi Donna.. not sure if you’ll see this.. I tried to reply to your comment via email but it bounced back. Thank you for your kind words. You are so right that the blends react differently on the Springtime Foils paper.. I don’t think it was necessarily meant for blends. I mentioned this in my video. I did find that the lighter colors of blends seem to blend better on this paper than the dark colors. Hope that helps. Hope you get this message.
Patty
Simply gorgeous. I will watch the video before trying this to catch all the tips. Such a pretty special card! Love it.
