You may have already seen this Monarch Butterfly card in my Facebook Live video earlier in the week, and I am really excited to share it with you on my blog! This handstamped card features the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala bundle, Graceful Glass Vellum colored with Stampin’ Blends markers, and a Spectrum rainbow pad that I inked with reds, yellows and oranges to stamp the butterflies and birthday greeting!
After I started stamping all of the rainbow Spectrum pad butterflies, I had it in mind to make a Monarch butterfly and I think I succeeded with this red/orange/yellow Spectrum rainbow pad! I made this card for someone very special celebrating a very special birthday on Monday! We are celebrating with lunch and shopping on Tuesday, and I’ll give it to her then. Yep, it’s for Cindee. 🙂

Find the Butterfly Gala bundle currently on page 35 in your 2019 Occasions catalog, or HERE online #150599

The greeting (from the Humming Along stamp set #148758) is stamped with the same Spectrum pad as the butterflies, and stamped onto a die cut from my Rose Trellis thinlit dies #148549, pg 9 of the Occasions catalog.
As I mentioned in the video, I colored on the back of the strip of Graceful Glass vellum with my Stampin’ Blends markers, then added a strip of Whisper White cardstock behind the vellum so that the leaf pattern from the Floral Romance designer paper pack wouldn’t show through. The card is a 4-1/4″ x 11″ folded Thick Whisper White cardstock base.
I hope you enjoyed this birthday card idea!

Good afternoon Patty,
Your card is gorgeous….I wrote down all your color combinations for your spectrum pads….. They are really pretty…. I’m not good at putting colors together. Have a great weekend… We are to have snow here in Pa.
