I hope you enjoy this masculine card idea featuring the Stampin’ UP! Garage Gears thinlit dies and the Classic Garage suite! Find the entire suite of products HERE in my online Stampin’ UP! store! Cindee taught me how to make this card and showed me embossing tips for the gears to make them look almost like real metal gears!

We die cut the Garage Gears thinlit die in the Big Shot with Crumb Cake cardstock, sponged several colors on it (I used Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Tranquil Tide), then we dipped it onto the Versamark pad, sprinkled on Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. While still warm, I sprinkled some Silver embossing powder sparingly onto the warm clear embossing powder and reheated it. It gave it a fun metallic look!
Don’t you think it looks cool! So glad Cindee taught me this technique!
The card base is Tranquil Tide cardstock and the nuts are from the Classic Garage 6×6 paper stack shown below.
Classic Garage 6×6 designer paper stack sold HERE.
We also used the fun Classic Garage Metal Elements #148485 (keys and wrenches) on the card as well as the coordinating 1/4″ black/silver striped ribbon #148486. If you purchase the Geared UP Garage stamp set and Garage Gears dies together in a bundle you’ll SAVE 10%!! order #150610 as your bundle item for the savings!

Oh, I need to get that bundle and try this. I have a friend who is a plumber and I think he would love this card. I have a couple of the trinkets from a “share” so I am excited that I can use them on this. Love how you did the gears! Can’t wait to try this!
THanks Chris! so glad you enjoyed it!

Hi Patty,
Is that a magnetic sheet your dies are on? where do you get them?
Yes, I store them all on magnet sheets from Stamp-n-Storage. The info and shopping links are here: https://pattystamps.com/2018/08/how-i-store-my-stampin-up-framelit-dies.html
