Stampin’ Blends Coloring Filled With Cheer

Stampin Up! Filled with Cheer stamp set colored with Stampin' Blends markers. cards by Patty Bennett

I created lots of cards on our crafting cruise, but other than that, last week was spent playing catch up with my business (customers and team), so I didn’t get to stamp or create any cards.  Over the weekend I looked at the Stampin’ UP! supplies I had not used yet, and this fun Filled with Cheer stamp set was calling to me because I wanted to color with my Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers!

Did you notice…. the melting snowman is NOT a part of this card?   I’ll just be honest with you… I don’t like the melting snowman.  He feels sad to me… .so… I replaced that part of the image with the presents from the other stamp image in the Filled with Cheer set!

As you can see above.. I simply did not ink the part of the stamp with the snowman, and instead, I colored and fussy cut extra gifts to use on this card to fill the wagon.

I cut a slit at the top of the wagon and slipped these pieces in to fill it up with lots of cheer!

After coloring the wagon with my Stampin’ Blends markers, I wanted to add some shadow lines to create depth, but needed a straight edge.  If you’ve watched some of my Stampin’ Blends Video Tutorials, you’ve seen me use a drafting triangle for this.

Below:  my 2nd card with this set.  I added a die cut handle from the Filled with Fun bundle.  If you also want to die cut this wagon, you can use the die in that bundle. I just stamped it directly onto a deckled rectangle die cut piece and colored it.

  1. Beautiful! The colors are perfect together and the way you
“hid” the snowman was a great idea. Thanks for the tip with the paper and snowflake embossing folder!

  2. Really cute card, Patty! Good tips on cutting the top of the wagon to slip in the gifts. I also liked your tip on how to use markers/blends with a drafting triangle or a ruler to color a straight line. Good tips!! Thanks for sharing & welcome back home!
