Last night I was playing with >>> hold on to your hats >>>> yes … Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder!! Can you believe it?? I’m SO NOT a glitter girl, but have come to love Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder!! I know.. can you believe it?!? Anyway… here is what I did:
- I used the Chipboard Snowflakes from the On Board Trimmings set in the Holiday Mini Catalog, and "smooshed" one into the White Craft Pad and one into the Ballet Blue Craft Pad before heat embossing them with Iridescent Ice powder! Too pretty!
{I was going to make them into an ornament (back to back) but decided to put them on cards.}
- The white card uses the Snow Jumbo wheel from the Holiday Mini with Ballet Blue ink.
- I added Rhinestone brads from the Pretties Kit to both snowflakes for a little EXXXTRA BLING!
- And drew a white border around the blue card with the Uni-Ball Signo White Gel Pen (Ballet Blue and Brilliant Blue cardstock and ink).
- I also stamped and punched out a little snowflake from the Season of Joy set (Holiday Mini) using the Snow Blossom punch — you have to ink that snowflake with a marker to omit the circle around the edge.
And I saw this idea on Sudsol (e group for demonstrators) by Kelly A. Swienton of NY: Punch 7 or 8 pieces with the Scallop Circle Punch (like the BEST punch in the WORLD.. right?) and fold them in 1/2 and Snail them back to back to back.. put cord and/or ribbon in the "spine" with Sticky Strip before fanning it out into an ornament shape! I added some BLING with the Pretties Kit beads and pearls to the silver cord. I punched this out of the Dashing Designer Series papers.
Enjoy and have a great day!!
