Craft Room Organization is so much fun! I love finding the perfect solution to my storage and organizing needs for my Stampin’ UP! craft room. One thing I’ve struggled with for years is how to store my Sponge Daubers. I finally found the perfect solution for me: this lipstick caddy and I love it for my new Sponge Dauber Organizer!
This lipstick organizer caddy has 40 spots. I realize Stampin’ UP! has more than 40 colors, but, I couldn’t find one with 50 spots, so I just went with my 40 most used colors of sponge daubers. I used a small scalloped punch (retired) that I had in my drawer to punch cardstock colors to go with the 40 colors of Sponge Daubers I wanted to organize.
Sponge Daubers available online HERE.
I bought THIS Lipstick caddy on Amazon for my Sponge Dauber Organizer. Before you buy, look at similar lipstick caddies.. there are several sizes, LOTS of sizes in fact. This one holds 40 and is graduated in height as it steps back. Most are flat, and most are smaller. I thought I could either get 2 smaller ones, or just get this one. It was only $10.88 which I thought was a great price.
I label my sponge daubers with my Brother P-Touch labeler. There are lots of models, I happen to use one that is bluetooth and I type on my phone and it prints wirelessly to the printer. I use this one.

Great idea Patty. I’ve been using our small small cases for so long can’t even remember if we sold them or stamps came in them. I’m old school and go by family colors… Blends are difficult for me to return to the correct slide in spot…do you have solution.i.e. color coded or labels on holders?
I don’t label my blends, but I just have them in a loose rainbow order.. if they get back in the wrong slot, it’s ok with me. You can see the photo of how I organize them in the left column of my blog. I use this holder: https://www.stampnstorage.com/marker-holder-for-stampin-blends/#a_aid=PattyStamps
Hi Patty!
Can you give me the link to the lipstick caddy you got? Been looking and not sure which one it actually is… thanks so much for all your organizing tips!
It’s linked in the post above.. when you click on the word THIS it goes to it.
Love that idea. Will have to check these out. Thanks for the suggestion.
Patty thank you for sharing. I have viewed several organizational tips however the question that I would like to know is how to do keep track of what you have? Such as paper, dies, stamps and things like this. I am working on getting my dies in pockets but how do you know what you have. Thanks
I just know in my head what I have. After 25 years of doing this, it’s pretty much all I think about 🙂
Oh , patty what a great idea !!!thanks for sharing my friend
